Summary

Multi-million dollar, multi-phased exploration project located in the eastern Oriental region of Paraguay covering 65,000 sq miles.

Highlights

  • Responsible for supply, maintenance and logistical operations of both Drilling and Mineral Exploration.
  • Motor pool of 15 off-road vehicles, 1 reconnaissance plane, 2 drill rigs, drill camps, and $2M inventory of spare parts, procurement of equipment, and support personnel.
  • Established and organized procedures and policies for data gathering from the field to entry into the database for analysis by General Manager and Senior Geologists.  Data reports were transmitted each morning from the field to the main office by Single Side Band (SSB) Radio.
  • Worked with CEO and CFO in the design of technical and administrative software applications to provide geological and cost analysis reports.
  • After the acquisition of an NCR computer I formed the data processing center.  While working with a hired contractor, designed and developed administrative applications to support finance, inventory control, and geological data from the field.
  • Responsible for the set up of a SSB radio communication between the central office and various field camps for emergency and supply requests.  In addition, received regular updates from the geologists about the drilling activities and findings in the field.
