Summary

The U.S. Army Tank-automotive Armaments Command (TACOM) Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) is responsible for sustaining war fighting readiness and managing a large part of the Army’s investment in war fighting capacity as integrator of nearly 3,000 weapon systems that form the core of the Army’s war fighting capability.

EMSI won 3 consecutive contract awards to support US Army TACOM ILSC. Tasked to provide Enterprise Architecture, Technical Guidance, Leadership, Training, Design, Oversight and full life-cycle development to the first mainframe application from ILSC to be downsized to a Win32 based Client Server platform.  The application received data feeds from the mainframe and UNIX platforms and also acted as financial data feeder to DCPS for civilian payroll processing.

Highlights

  • First release was deployed in 3 months.
  • Initial installation supported 5,000 DOD employees and contractors

    • Employee entry of leave and hours worked by task (job order/cost)
    • Supervisor certification of employee time card
    • Timekeeper entry of labor/leave for employees unable to do so
    • Management of employee / cost relationships
    • Control of user roles within the organization
    • Inquiries and reports, including missing time,leave reports
    • Work Center/Cost Center Management
    • Holiday Maintenance
